Career Fair 2018/19
Save the date! SAIT will be hosting Career Fair on Feb. 26, 2019.
Career Fair is an excellent opportunity for you to meet with recruiters from over 100 companies across a wide variety of industries.
To get ready, attend an upcoming Career Fair preparation workshop to find out what you should bring, how to make a good impression and what to say in your "elevator speech".
My Career Hub gives you access to our online job board so you can view employment opportunities available to SAIT students and alumni, including full-time, part-time, contract, summer, volunteer and work experience positions.
You can also login to My Career Hub to register for employment workshops, book personalized consultations, track your Co-Curricular Record (CCR) and more.
Are you a Distance Education student studying off campus?
Get on SAIT's My Career Hub — not only will you have access to hundreds of job opportunities but you'll find how-to information on writing your resumé and cover letter, interview strategies and maximizing your LinkedIn profile. Plus you can book an email resumé consultation via the online booking tool.

Our employment workshops will give you a competitive edge for the job search ahead. To register, you must be a current SAIT student or alumni. Topics include:
|It takes much more than just a polished resumé to land a job. Before you enter the professional workplace, you need to show the employer you belong there. Do you have a professional attitude? Do you know what it means to "dress for success"? Learn the skills that will not only help you get the job, but keep it too.|
|Learn to get the employer's attention and get an interview with your self-marketing tools, including your resumé, cover letter and reference list. Learn about industry-specific keywords, where to include them, and the importance of tailoring your documents to the job you're applying for.|
|Discover how to effectively research employers and prepare for interviews. Get tips on how to answer general questions like, "what is your greatest weakness?" and "how much money do you expect?". You'll also learn the S-T-A-R strategy for answering behavioural-based questions.|
|What if you only had 30 seconds to introduce yourself to a potential employer? In this workshop, you'll learn how to develop an "elevator speech" that tells people who you are, what you do, and what makes you stand out from the rest of the crowd. Think of it as a sales pitch — only the product is you!|
|Learn about the hidden job market and how to find the many jobs that are never even posted! Sometimes it's who you know, not what you know. You'll also learn different ways to establish your network, such as cold calling and attending networking events.|

|Are you using LinkedIn to maximize your job search? LinkedIn is a great tool for connecting with recruiters, potential employers, and other professionals within your industry. See how you can find meaningful job leads by using LinkedIn to research and follow companies you are interested in.|

Applying for jobs can be daunting when you're competing with hundreds of other applicants for any given opportunity. Meet with one of our Career Development Specialists for a personalized consultation and learn how you can stand out by effectively marketing yourself. Consultation services include:
|Did you know that hiring managers spend less than 11 seconds looking at a resume? Have one of our specialists review your resumé to make sure it will catch someone's eye, so it doesn't end up in the pile of rejected applications.|
|Schedule a practice interview and our specialist will ask you questions you can expect in real interviews like "what is your greatest weakness?" and "tell me about a time when you had to deal with an upset co-worker or customer." |A Co-Curricular Record (CCR) allows you to show employers the transferable skills and competencies you’ve achieved through co-curricular experiences.
