Cyber vs Information Security
Information systems and security roles are needed across various industries, including public administration, health care, business, finance and manufacturing. As a graduate of SAIT's programs, you can pursue career opportunities in threat analysis, risk management, network security and malware analysis.
Cyber security is primarily focused on protecting computer systems, networks, data and information from unauthorized access and misuse. The main objective of those in the cybersecurity field is to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of digital assets and to mitigate risks associated with cyber threats. Roles in cyber security include security consultants and analysts, risk analysts, cyber operations analysts and cyber forensic investigators.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.
SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
