Recognition of prior learning (RPL) assessments
Current and former CAF members may be eligible to receive course credit for their service, which may reduce the number of courses required to complete as part of your SAIT education.

Funding options for CAF members
Veterans, if eligible, can access education funding through the Education and Training Benefit offered by Veterans Affairs Canada.
Regular Force members or Reserve force members, if eligible, can access education funding through the Education Reimbursement Program or the Paid Education Program.
Accommodations for CAF members
SAIT recognizes the tremendous value that reservists who are also students or staff bring to our campuses. We have processes to accommodate short-term or long-term leave of absence from study or work to complete CAF-related training. We can also arrange the rescheduling of tests and assignments or the deferment of a semester or program as required.
These accommodations are subject to the terms, conditions and approvals described in AC.3.19.1 Student Leaves policy and procedure.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
