Transcript deadlines

If you have been conditionally offered acceptance in a SAIT program, submit your final transcripts by the deadline to avoid being declined.

If you're completing admission requirements where final grades do not meet the transcript deadlines, such as summer school, you can only be considered once final grades are available. Acceptance will be subject to space availability.

Please refer to important dates for more information about important dates and deadlines.

Educational documents and sufficient evidence

You may upload scanned copies of your official transcripts or other relevant educational documents during the application process. These documents are used to confirm that you meet the admission requirements for your program.

We’re unable to review your application until required transcripts or sufficient supporting documents are received.

Scan quality requirements for uploaded documents

To avoid delays in processing your application, uploaded transcripts must be:

  • Clear and readable
  • Complete, with all pages fully visible
  • Flat and undistorted
  • Free of objects, shadows, or background
  • Unaltered scans of the original document
  • Uploaded as an upright PDF or image file

Documents that do not meet these standards may be returned with a request to re‑upload a clearer copy.

Where your transcripts were issued

When you apply to SAIT, you will have the option to include final grades and anticipated final grades while completing your application online. However, we're unable to use anticipated or self-declared final grades for admission to our programs.

If you haven't completed a course yet, you will need to submit sufficient evidence confirming you're registered in courses required for admission. This information will be used to review your application until we receive your final transcript verifying that you have achieved the grades required for your chosen program.

Request your transcripts through ApplyAlberta when you are completing your application to SAIT.

Your transcripts will be sent to SAIT electronically and free of charge (from all Alberta high schools and participating post-secondary schools).

Order your transcripts from the province or post-secondary institution where you went to school and have them sent to the Office of the Registrar.

Don’t forget to check our high school equivalencies to see if your courses meet our admission requirements.

If you already have a copy of your transcripts, you can upload them to the admissions portal.

You can input your grades for relevant high school subjects when completing your program application. Official transcripts or proof you're enrolled in these courses will be required.

You'll require an international document assessment to ensure you've met the admission requirements for your program.

SAIT may also accept courses completed at certain international post-secondary institutions.

To share your post-secondary transcripts through MyCreds, review the instructions here.

All past, current, and future education completed at SAIT will automatically appear on your student profile — you don’t need to send any SAIT transcripts.

Sufficient evidence

If you're currently in high school or are upgrading one or more admission requirements, you must provide sufficient evidence of your course enrolment.

We will accept the following as sufficient evidence:

  • Class schedule showing enrolment in required subjects OR
  • Transcripts with future subjects indicated OR
  • Other proof of registration in program admission requirements and/or English Proficiency testing, if required.

International applicants can submit sufficient evidence when they apply through our Virtual Application System.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
