You have the option to write in the SAIT Accommodated Testing Centre if you:
- are registered with Accessibility Services
- have a valid SAIT accommodation memo, and
- are registered in a SAIT program.
You are responsible for sharing your accommodation memo with your instructor(s) in advance to discuss options for writing your exams.
Accommodated Testing Centre
Our centre is located in room KA301 in the Johnson Cobbe Energy Centre.
We offer a specialized environment for accommodated exams, including limited private rooms and distraction-reduced labs.

How to book an accommodated exam
To book an exam using accommodations, sign in to the RegisterBlast platform with your SAIT email address. Ensure your accommodations are visible in Step 5.
You must book at least 4 days before the exam date and start time.
If you are trying to book an exam and don't see your accommodations, please email us at accessibility.testing@sait.ca, and we will check your account for you.
What is required on exam day
You must bring valid government or SAIT-issued photo identification on your exam date, such as your:
- SAIT ID card (physical card or mobile ID)
- Driver's license
- Passport
Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your booked exam start time. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, you will be required to contact your instructor to reschedule.
Only authorized materials will be allowed into the exam room, including:
- exam-specific materials authorized by the instructor (for example, calculators, formula sheets)
- resealable drinking containers
- items identified in your accommodation memo
- religious headgear or uniforms.
The following items are not permitted in the exam room:
- watches of any kind
- any tech with Bluetooth capabilities
- unauthorized materials such as class notes or textbooks, unless the exam instructions explicitly state these are allowed
- food (unless medically required with documentation in place)*
- scents and fragrances.
- hats
- jackets
*No nut products are permitted to respect those with allergies.
Friends, family, guests, or children are not permitted in the testing centre.

Answers to frequently asked questions
Find more information about getting accommodations with Accessibility Services on requesting accommodations.
This usually means you have missed the 96-hour (four-day) window required for booking.
Please email accessibility.testing@sait.ca immediately and include screenshots of the issue so you have proof you were unable to book.
Do not email two days before saying you weren't able to book because this will be considered your one free pass for manual booking.
These screenshots will also help us determine whether there is a problem.
If you can’t find your instructor under the school your course is under, you can try checking under the school ‘Academic Services’ as a default.
If you still cannot find their name, they may not have an account created on RegisterBlast.
Please speak with your instructor directly to verify.
This usually means that your instructor has not created the submission for you to book yet.
Please speak with your instructor about making an exam submission to the Testing Centre so you can book.
Reach out to your instructor to have them submit the exam to RegisterBlast so you can book it.
