English Conversation Partners program
As part of your learning experience at SAIT, this program offers a relaxed and supportive way to practice English and build confidence in everyday communication. You’ll be matched with a conversation partner for about one hour of informal conversation each week.
You can meet in person or have a video chat over MS Teams. Talk once a week or more often if you’d like. Share stories, swap recipes, discuss books, or explore travel experiences. We’ll provide conversation starters and helpful tools to get things going.
Apprentices who are English language learners will be asked to complete an entry and exit survey, and all participants will be invited to share feedback at the end of the program.
Sign up for English Conversation Partners
English Conversation Partners is not an academic tutoring or counselling service. If you need support in those areas, we encourage you to connect with Learning Skills Services, Tutoring or Student Development and Counselling.

Apprenticeships and Trades

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.
SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
