Communial amenities
Throughout the buildings, there are common rooms where residents can meet, gather, and study. Some of our common rooms also have special amenities.
Yoga studio
Located on the 11 floor of Begin Tower, the yoga studio provides a space for you to relax and renew your mind, body and spirit and build your balance on your balance, inner strength and energy.
Cardio room
Located on the 12 floor of Begin Tower and East Hall, both cardio rooms are equipped with treadmills, elliptical trainers and stationary bikes. We just ask that you use the sanitizing wipes to clean off the machines when you are done.
Games rooms
Throughout both buildings, we have ping-pong tables, pool tables, and fooseball. Equipment can be borrowed from the front desk of both buildings.
Laundry rooms
We have two self-serve laundry rooms located in the basement of each building. Laundry cards can be purchased and loaded at the Sparkle machine in each laundry room.
The washers and dryers both cost $2.00 per load, simply tap your pre-loaded card to start your machine. You do need to provide your own laundry detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheets.
Using the mysparkle app, you'll be able to view which machines are currently available in our laundry rooms*.
*We recommend you remain in the laundry room while your clothes are in the washer or dryer. SAIT Residence is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings, no matter the cause.
Mailroom
Mail is delivered daily to the Residence Office and can be picked up from your mailbox in the lobby. Each resident is issued a mailbox with a mailbox key.
Packages that do not fit into your mailbox will be delivered to the Begin Tower office and the Residence Life team will accept them for you.
Packages from Purolator, UPS and Canada Post are accepted and scanned, and an email is sent to let you know your package arrived. The office will only release your package to you with a valid ID.
Mail can be addressed to one of the following towers.

Together to provide:

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.
SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
