SAIT's application system for domestic students will be closed between Sept. 27 and Oct. 4.

Find out what this means for you

🔎 Step one: Prepare to apply

Once you’ve decided which program(s) you want to apply for, ensure you know all the admission requirements and deadlines.

You’ll find available intakes and the admission requirements on the program page as well as entrance testing requirements, early admission options, and selection criteria, if applicable.

Some programs may require supplementary documentation or additional information to be submitted after you apply — this could include a career investigation report, aptitude test, resumé, essay, interview, etc.

All applicants to SAIT must demonstrate English language proficiency, including students educated in Canada. English language proficiency is a requirement for all SAIT programs.

📑 Step two: Apply and submit your educational documents

Once you’re ready to join our community of shapers, makers and originals – submit your application!

How you submit your application will depend on if you’re a domestic applicant (Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada or refugee) or an international applicant (international student, temporary resident or living in Canada without permanent resident or refugee status.)

You’ll need to demonstrate you meet the admission requirements via transcripts, sufficient evidence, and other educational documents.

đź‘€ Step three: Track your application

Within a week of submitting your application online, you will receive an email acknowledging that SAIT has received your application. The email will include your log in credentials to your admission portal (for domestic applicants) or VAS (for international applicants).

Ensure you submit all your transcripts and educational documents by the transcript deadline to avoid being declined. This can be done during when you apply or through your portal. Your application will be reviewed and a decision assigned after you submit proof you currently or will meet your program’s admission requirements.

We understand you want an answer as soon as possible, and sometimes plans can change, unexpectedly or otherwise.

🤝 Step four: Accept your offer and pay your deposit

Congratulations! You've received an offer of admission from SAIT.

Follow the steps outlined in the email you've received to accept your offer and secure your seat in your program by paying your tuition deposit.

📚 Step five: Apply for your study permit (if applicable)

International students who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada require a study permit issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to study in a program longer than six months.

Once you receive your SAIT confirmation/acceptance letter and accompanying documentation for IRCC, you can apply for your study permit.

To enter the country, most students will also require a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Please check the IRCC website to see if you require a TRV or eTA.

đź’˛Step six: Pay your tuition and fees and register for classes

You will register for your classes approximately six weeks before your program begins. You'll now see your tuition balance in your account summary on mySAIT under the myStudent tab.

Payment of these tuition fees confirms your attendance in your program.  Tuition for the semester will be due on the first business day of the month before classes begin.
