Level Up Alumni Awards

The Level Up Alumni Awards are a perk created just for you — a valued member of the SAIT alumni family. And because SAIT wants to partner with you on this journey, we have created a student entrance award offered exclusively to SAIT alumni.

Applications for the Level Up Alumni Awards open Wednesday, July 9 at 10 am. Please keep eye on your student inbox for the link invitation to apply.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Level Up Alumni Awards, you must be:

  • a student entering a credit program at SAIT
  • a full-time student
  • a SAIT graduate
  • a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person/refugee

Value of the award

  • $1,500 each
  • there are a limited number of awards
  • distributed on a first-come, first-served basis

Application process

Once admitted to their program, eligible students will receive the Level Up Alumni Award application link via email. Students must submit their application by the indicated deadline. The award funds will be disbursed after the add/drop deadline has passed and once the Student Awards office has verified that the recipient has remained an active, full-time student.

The award is first-come, first-served, and applications will only be sent out while awards are still available.

🚨 Funds for continuing education awards have been reached. Additional funding for alumni returning to SAIT to take a continuing education or professional studies course has been paused until further notice.

Digital Trailblazer Alumni Fund

Funded by the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund (OCIF), the Digital Trailblazer Alumni Fund was created to support graduates returning to SAIT to develop and build on their digital skills and expertise across multiple sectors. This award can only be applied towards a digital bootcamp, micro-credential or course through Continuing Education and Professional Studies.

All SAIT graduates who have received an official credential issued by SAIT following the successful completion of credit programs (certificate, diploma, degree), non-credit certificate programs and apprentice programs, are eligible to apply.

Level Up Alumni Awards

All SAIT graduates who have received a formal credential from SAIT qualify for the Level Up Alumni Awards. However, you must domestic residency. Please ensure you review all criteria of each award before applying.

No. There are a limited number of awards available. They are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while funds are available.

The Level Up Alumni Award covers all credentialed certificate, diploma or degree programs.

SAIT intends to continue this student awards program for alumni in the future, provided funding is available.

Please note: Level Up Alumni Awards funding for graduates returning to SAIT to take a continuing education and professional studies course or program has been paused until further notice.

Level Up Alumni Awards

The Level Up Alumni Awards are awarded upon entrance to your program, which may or may not run for more than a calendar year. You can apply for the credit award once during the program. Please review the Application Process for deadlines and how to apply.

When you register and pay for courses and programs at SAIT, you will be issued a T2202 and/or a T4A slip which you can use on your tax return (if applicable). The receipts are released on the last day of February each year for the previous tax year. You can access them from your mySAIT account.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
