Hotel Arts is SAIT’s new campus catering and food services provider. Under the name “Curated Catering powered by Hotel Arts” they will deliver SAIT’s catering and food services for the upcoming year starting Tuesday, June 1.

“SAIT is pleased to be joining forces with Hotel Arts on this innovative partnership, one that will provide a high quality food service and experience to our SAIT community,” says Dr. David Ross, SAIT President and CEO. “Hotel Arts has trained and hired hundreds of SAIT graduates, including many who are currently with the hotel. By extension of this partnership, we know graduates from our internationally-ranked School of Hospitality and Tourism will go on to work in this industry — supporting the reopening of the sector and the rebuilding of our local economy.”

Curated Catering powered by Hotel Arts will provide a variety of menus for on-campus catering, as well as residence food services at the new Begin Tower Dining Centre opening this fall.

“Hotel Arts Group is extremely excited to be working with SAIT,” says Mark Wilson (HMGT ’84), Vice President and General Manager, Hotel Arts Group. “I am so very proud we can share the talents of our passionate team of artisans — many of whom are SAIT trained — to enhance the experience of campus life. This really speaks to SAIT supporting local business and engaging the community as partners.”

The unique local partnership matches Hotel Arts’ boutique guest experience and award-winning restaurants with SAIT— #1 in hospitality and #1 in culinary nationally, as well as #19 in the world, according to CEOWORLD Magazine, plus the top-ranked Canadian hospitality and leisure management school in the QS World University Rankings.

“Hotel Arts has long been an incredible supporter of our students and this exciting partnership builds on that legacy,” says James Overall, dean of the SAIT School of Hospitality and Tourism.

Mouth-watering menus

SAIT offers a full suite of conference and event services on campus. Known for inventive dishes and impeccable service, Hotel Arts' on-campus catering menus will be available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and range from fresh salads to three-course meals. A special events and wedding menu will round out the catering options for venue bookings at SAIT as campus reopens.

Curated Catering powered by Hotel Arts is led by Holly Parks, Hotel Arts Director of Food and Beverage, alongside Hotel Arts Executive Chef and SAIT alumnus, Quinn Staple (PCK ’06).

“We’re looking forward to building a great relationship with SAIT and its students while preparing delicious and nutritious meals that bring comfort and satisfaction,” says Executive Chef Quinn Staple. “I’m very excited to be able return to SAIT in this capacity. SAIT is a special place to me and I’m thrilled to bring our brand to campus.”

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
