Sexual Violence Awareness Month - "How to Help" Drop-In Session

Sexual Violence Awareness Month is recognized each May in Alberta.

It is important for all members of our SAIT community to know how to sensitively hear disclosures from survivors of sexual and gender-based violence, and how to help connect them to valuable resources. To learn the basics of receiving a disclosure - Listen, Support, Believe - visit this drop-in session, where SAIT's Sexual Violence Program Coordinator will lead you through the basics of how to help and answer any questions you may have.

The drop-in session will be held from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM in MB 302, Stan Grad Centre. No registration required.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
