Getting career-ready means having the right designations and credentials, so we align our programs to meet prerequisite requirements for these industry designations. We love life-long learning, so we have partnerships to allow students to continue their studies once they graduate from SAIT.

Chartered Professional Accountants

The Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA)is the professional organization representing designated accountants across the province of Alberta. The Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting Major and the Bachelor of Applied Business Administration are recognized as meeting the prerequisite educational requirements needed to enter the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP). The CPA prerequisite courses are also available for open enrolment registration through the Professional Accounting courses.

Business Administration provincial pathways

Incoming transfer students might be eligible for the provincial Business Administration pathway if they have completed Business Administration coursework at Bow Valley College, Grande Prairie Regional College, Keyano College, Lakeland College, Lethbridge College, MacEwan University, Medicine Hat College, NAIT, Norquest College, Northern Lakes College, Olds College, Portage College, Red Deer College or Athabasca University in the last five years.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
