Life at SAIT

Sanoop joined the School of Business in 2023 and teaches technology, marketing and management courses. As an alumnus of SAIT himself, Sanoop understands the challenges learners face and brings empathy, humour, and real-world experience into the classroom. He is passionate about helping students build confidence with technology, often blending business applications with digital tools to create an accessible and relevant learning experience. Students consistently describe him as approachable, kind, and inspiring. He’s frequently praised for his ability to connect with learners, simplify complex topics, and make learning engaging – even when course content is challenging.

As a student, he was actively involved in the campus community, volunteering with Saitsa and participating in student events. He also contributed to the community by volunteering for the Calgary Food Bank and Calgary Public Library as a Tech Mentor. In recognition of his outstanding academic achievement and exceptional contributions to the student experience and community, Sanoop was awarded SAIT’s prestigious President’s Medal from the graduating class of 2023. After completing his studies, Sanoop began working with SAIT’s IT department before transitioning into a faculty role as an instructor. His experiences as both a student and instructor give him a unique perspective and strong commitment to helping others succeed – both inside and outside the classroom.
