Life at SAIT
Maxim teaches in the BA and BBA Financial Services stream and has been at SAIT since 2018.
Maxim is a faculty mentor in the Finance Club. He thoroughly enjoys seeing students succeed not only in their academics but also in their personal and professional lives. As a coach, he believes in effective communication, kindness and compassion, and integrity as benchmarks for a successful life. Teaching for Maxim is an art that he enjoys every day.
Education
He has a BA in Finance and an MBA. Maxim is also professionally accredited as a CFP and CFA and is a member of the Alberta Insurance Council and the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada.
Professional accomplishments
For Maxim, teaching at SAIT is informed by experiences across the financial industry in various roles. He worked in various corporate investment banking and financial advisory roles in Canada and abroad, as well as a Subject Matter Expert for Advocis, a professional membership association for Financial Advisers.
Maxim is also the co-author of Characteristics of Successful Hedge Fund Managers — a chapter in a book called Hedge Funds (Structures, Strategies, and Performance).

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
