Life at SAIT
Lauren joined the School of Business in 2024 as the Work Integrated Learning Coordinator for the Bachelor of Business Administration program. In her role, Lauren supports students in securing approved practicums and guides them through the registration process. She also works closely with employers, fostering relationships and helping them connect with student talent through practicum opportunities.
Lauren’s career has been driven by a passion for enhancing individuals' quality of life. She thrives on creating opportunities for others to connect, grow, and give back to their communities. She finds joy in meeting new employers and supporting them in discovering new student talent. Most recently, Lauren has participated in the English Conversational Partners program to support international students on campus.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys playing slow-pitch softball and dancing west coast swing is a favorite! She’s an avid reader of mystery novels and loves crafting. Her adventurous spirit is complemented by her thoughtful advice to students: “Take a chance and step outside your comfort zone. Be confident in what you have to offer. Remember that every interaction could lead to new opportunities. I got my last job by simply following up on my application after the Winter Break – it turned out that position was filled but they interviewed and hired me for a position I didn’t even apply to, and it was perfect for me!"

Lauren holds a Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Services from Brock University and a Diploma in Recreation and Leisure Services from Niagara College. She has also earned a Certificate in Volunteer Management from Fleming College and completed a Seminar Series in Adult Education from Mount Royal University.
