Life at SAIT
John joined the School of Business in 2023 and teaches Introduction to Business, Business Productivity Tools and Technology, Organizational Behavior, Management Information Systems, and the Capstone Project.
John’s teaching style embraces a facilitated learning approach, encouraging students to take ownership of their learning journey. John creates an empowering and accountable environment where students are given the tools and techniques for applied learning.
John is thrilled to be a part of SAIT, an organization that values work-life balance, allowing him to spend more time with family while contributing meaningfully to education.
Education
John has an MBA from De La Salle University and an international relations degree from Lyceum of the Philippines University. John also completed an International Education Management program at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, 5G Strategy at Cornell University and an Advanced Project Management Diploma from the University of Calgary. John is also an EQ-i 2.0/EQ 360 Certified Practitioner.
Professional accomplishments
John brings a wealth of experience from his diverse background in management consulting, international trade, and public policy. Before joining SAIT, John was with the U.S. Department of Commerce in the U.S. Embassy, where he excelled in leading market entry strategies and investment plans, providing strategic market insights, and empowering U.S. companies to succeed internationally and Philippine-based companies to invest in the U.S.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
