Spreading the joy of learning city-wide

Little Free Libraries stocked with the SAIT centennial book for the holidays.

Early December brought flocks of SAIT do-gooders spreading a little festive joy around Calgary by dropping off copies of our centennial book to Little Free Libraries.

Copies of Shapers, Makers and Originals, The Story of SAIT's First 100 Years by author David Finch were placed in a number of Calgary's best places to take a book or leave a book. The centennial book will be borrowed, passed on and enjoyed by anyone looking to learn about the history of our renowned institution.

Take a look at our do-gooder and book selfie gallery as drop-offs happened across the city.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
