Headshot of Laura Bucsis

An energetic and enthusiastic marketing, business development and product professional, Lora Bucsis brings her strategic thinking and passion for helping others to SAIT’s new School for Advanced Digital Technology.

Bucsis joined SAIT in 2001 after working for a number of startups. Looking for a community-based organization with a focus on serving people, she took on a job marketing for Continuing Education and then brought her expertise to roles in Corporate Training and Corporate Development and Applied Research, each position building on her skills and culminating in her current role as Manager of Digital Adoption and Training for SAIT’s DX Talent Hub.

Through her time at SAIT, Bucsis has worked extensively with the reskilling ecosystem to help build programs and systems to help people find their passion, break down barriers and pivot to a rewarding career.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
