As Dean of SAIT’s School for Digital Advanced Technology (SADT), Cherie Bowker envisions a future where emerging technologies are seamlessly integrated into digital education and curriculum design. With a bachelor's degree and Master of Science, Cherie is completing a Master of Business Administration in Innovation Leadership to complement her expertise in digital transformation, industry partnerships and online and immersive learning models and spaces.

Cherie leads with intention by aligning SADT programs with industry needs while focusing on innovation in teaching and learning. Her work in immersive education and applied learning strategies has been featured in various industry publications, highlighting her contributions to advancing experiential learning. Cherie was also recognized for her work in the field of technology integration into educational frameworks.

In a previous role, she was instrumental in the implementation of Collaborative Online International Learning — an initiative aimed at fostering global engagement by connecting students and faculty at institutions across the world through online collaborative projects.

With anticipated growth in flexible learning pathways, Cherie is focused on meeting evolving workforce demands through sustainable, human-centered curriculum designed to shape the future of digital learning and technology integration.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
