Settling in Canada

While you live in Canada you'll be able to work, apply for healthcare and travel as you study.

Study Permits

International students who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada require a study permit.

Working in Canada

Work permits are required to complete mandatory work experience and allows graduates to work in Canada for up to three years. 

Travel

To travel as a student you must make sure you have the proper documentation required to leave and re-enter Canada. 

Residency

Once you complete your program at SAIT you may be eligible to apply for permanent residency in Canada.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
