Leading Beyond Any Title: Inner Control - Leading Through Pressure

Emotional Regulation. Resilience. Agility.

Join Jennie and Bryce in exploring how you, as a leader, navigate your emotional responses in the moments that matter most. Leaders don’t struggle because they lack capability, they struggle when stress takes over.

In high-pressure situations, this can show up as snapping, shutting down, avoidance, or carrying emotion from one interaction into the next. Over time, these patterns impact decision-making, relationships, and overall leadership performance.

This session focuses on building awareness beyond traditional emotional intelligence, strengthening emotional literacy (understanding what you’re feeling) and emotional agility (moving from reaction to intention). Together, we’ll explore how emotional patterns shape behaviour under pressure, and how to shift toward more consistent, resilient, and effective leadership.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
