If you're a domestic student seeking additional funding, this can be done through Alberta Student Loans at studentaid.alberta.ca or through the student aid office in your home province.

Register for your courses

On the registration opening date for your program, you’ll choose a block of courses or individual courses through mySAIT.

Apply for residence

If you’re looking for accommodations within walking distance of your classes.

If you need to defer your admission or transfer your tuition deposit to a different semester, you'll need to make a formal request to the Office of the Registrar.

Pay your tuition

Before the semester deadline, pay your tuition balance using an accepted online method. You can view your tuition balance in your account summary on mySAIT, located under the 'myStudent' tab.

Request of confirmation of enrolment letter

Some financial institutions require a letter confirming your enrollment to release RESP funds. Once you’re registered for classes, you can request enrollment confirmation through your mySAIT account. Look for an email from MyCreds when your letter is available (within five business days).

If your financial institution requires us to sign a form, upload the appropriate forms and submit a ticket through our online support desk.

Get your study permit

International students who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada require a study permit issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to study in a program that is longer than six months.

Once you have received your confirmation or acceptance letter from SAIT and accompanying documentation for IRCC, you can start applying for your study permit.

Transfer credits from previous post-secondary

If you wish to receive credit for previous post-secondary courses, you must apply during the transfer credit evaluation period.

If you've been conditionally accepted to SAIT pending final grades (confirmation paid - documents required), don't miss your final document submission date.

Attend orientation

SAIT is much more than programs and buildings; it's your community. Meet other SAIT students and chat with staff about all the support available. Plus, find out just how many ways there are to get involved in student life and everything you'll need to know for this year.

You'll likely also have a program-specific orientation to meet your new classmates and instructors and learn important information about your upcoming classes.

We offer additional orientations for Indigenous and international students. The link to register will be sent to your email address before the semester starts.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
