Susan Cormier’s hospitality journey is nothing short of global. A proud SAIT alum, Susan kicked off her career with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, taking on leadership roles across Canada, the U.S., and internationally. From helping launch the legendary Plaza Hotel in New York City to leading training initiatives in Singapore and consulting in Qatar, her path has been packed with high-impact experiences.
In 2019, Susan and her partner brought their vision to life with Euston Park Social, two seasonal gastropubs in Moncton, NB, that earned them the Chamber of Commerce’s Business People of the Year Award. Just a year later, they launched Halo Donuts, now a growing brand with three locations and counting.
In 2024, Susan came full circle, returning to SAIT as an instructor. Today, she shares her global expertise and entrepreneurial spirit with the next generation of hospitality professionals, right where it all began.
Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.
SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
