Like many SAIT students, Andy's hospitality journey began in the classroom, studying Hotel and Restaurant Management. A recruitment opportunity with Fairmont Hotels launched a dynamic career that spanned several years and locations, including Lake Louise, Vancouver, Toronto, and Singapore. During this time, he also earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree, further fueling a passion for global travel and hospitality.

That passion led to a new chapter at sea, where he served as Entertainment Director with Carnival Cruise Line until the pandemic put the industry on hold. Seizing the opportunity to grow, Andy returned to school to complete an MBA. His journey came full circle when he became General Manager of two hotels in Fernie, BC.

Here at SAIT, Andy brings his global experience and industry insight to SAIT’s classrooms, inspiring the next generation of hospitality professionals with real-world knowledge and a deep commitment to student success.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
