Fuel the Future
A new era in aviation training is here, thanks to a landmark collaboration between SAIT and Lufthansa Technik Canada (LTCA).
Combining SAIT’s hands-on, career-focused education with LTCA’s global expertise in aircraft maintenance,
this program is a game-changer for Alberta's growing aerospace sector.
Take your career to new heights
Our new Gas Turbine Technician certificate is meeting the growing demand for skilled technicians across the aerospace industry — setting the stage for the next generation of aviation excellence in the process.
In this program, you’ll turn your passion into purpose as you learn to inspect, repair, build and test aviation and industrial gas turbines. Designed in collaboration with LTCA, this one-of-a-kind training initiative delivers the skills and real-world knowledge you need to launch your career in both the aviation and industrial energy production sectors.
With the demand for gas turbine technicians growing in both sectors, SAIT and LTCA are training skilled technicians to maintain and repair everything from commercial airplanes to power plants and natural gas facilities.
In collaboration with SAIT, LTCA is sponsoring 10 students per cohort intake by covering costs and providing tools and salary during their studies. Upon completing the program, sponsored graduates will have a potential job placement with the organization.
