Robert Lauder is an experienced professional engineer and project management consultant with 45 plus years of work experience in the energy industries of Canada and foreign countries. He is President of Lauder Energy Inc. which provides project management consulting services to the energy industries.
He is currently semi-retired, working as an assistant in his wife’s business as well as other online business interests. He has been appointed to SAIT’s Board of Governors in January, 2024.
Mr. Lauder holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. He is a lifetime member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
