Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society
“Becoming involved and graduating with Phi Theta Kappa has been the most rewarding post-secondary experience I ever dreamed possible.”
Deanna Balla, former SAIT chapter president
Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is the largest honour society in higher education, serving 1,250 two-year colleges around the world and offering exclusive programs and benefits to its members. Chapters of Phi Theta Kappa have been recognizing and encouraging academic excellence and leadership in North America and abroad since 1918.
SAIT became a chartered Society of PTK in May 2010 and was given the chapter name, Beta Sigma Tau. SAIT is only the third Canadian institution and the first Canadian polytechnic to be chartered into Phi Theta Kappa. Including alumni, SAIT’s chapter currently sits at more than 3,000 members.
