COVID-19 updates for alumni
Thank you — we asked for help and you were there
The I.G. Lewis Student Emergency Fund was established in 2012 to help upwards of 200 students each year to stay in school and graduate from their program. Students who apply for funding are facing an emergency financial crisis and need help with buying food, paying their rent and myriad of other needs that pop up. When all in-person classes were cancelled on March 15 due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19, SAIT knew that the pandemic would have an incredible impact on our students.
We asked for help and you were there. The SAIT family came together in a big way with contributions to the I.G. Lewis Student Emergency Fund.

Director's update to alumni
Director, Alumni and Development
Update: April 8, 2020
"In the weeks since Alberta implemented social distancing, we have all been encouraged to keep connected virtually with friends and family.
You are an important member of SAIT's alumni family, so I am writing to share what Alumni and Development is working on right now and how we are making it easier for you to stay in touch with us and with fellow graduates in the weeks to come."
Update: March 23, 2020
"As I write to you from home on my laptop, I’m struck by this fact: never before have so many of us shared the same experience at the same time worldwide — by the irony that the experience itself is isolation. But you and I can take comfort and pride in knowing we share another experience – we’re all members of the SAIT family."
