Orientation is all about welcoming new students to our community. Help new students navigate the first few days of classes — and their first day nerves — and get excited about being on campus.
Share your knowledge and experience with future students at SAIT's largest event of the year — Open House. Help welcome guests to campus or give them a tour, showing them the best places to study, hang out and learn.
SAIT Tour Days
Throughout the year, Tour Days are offered by area of interest. They focus on providing prospective students with a firsthand look at our state-of-the-art labs, learning spaces, resources and fun spots around campus.
Classes have officially begun and students are primed to get ready, get set and get involved. Volunteer to help out with First8, a series of student success focused events during the first eight weeks of classes. Help new students discover the services available to them and connect with the SAIT community.
A post-secondary experience can be incredible — you get to try new things, meet new people and make memories that last a lifetime. But it can also be challenging — learning to manage a course load and make the right connections. SAIT Start takes place twice a year and is designed to help accepted students get ready to start at SAIT.
The Student Experience Volunteer Program is registered as a co-curricular activity. You must complete 12 hours during the year for the activity to be eligible for your co-curricular record.
