Student Volunteer Program

Get involved — volunteer at campus and external events

Volunteering helps you:

  • grow your professional and personal networks
  • be part of the action
  • build and strengthen the SAIT community
  • experience something new
  • build your communication, leadership, teamwork and professionalism skills

Also, chances are good you’ll get fed and have fun! Training will be provided as required.

Do you need volunteers?

If you’re planning a SAIT-sponsored event on/off campus and are in need of a few extra pairs of hands, the Student Volunteer Program can help. Review, complete and submit the Event Planner Volunteer Request form.

Show off your campus — be a campus tour guide

A tour is only as good as the tour guide. Show future students and other VIPs around at SAIT. Help showcase cool labs and learning spaces, our 100+ years of history and the fun things — tips and tricks — you know from being a student.

We have 25 tour guide positions to fill each year. Students from all different programs — with lots of energy — are needed.

Tour guides must be able to commit to a minimum of eight guided tours over of the course of the school year. Tour guides will typically work in pairs and will need to become familiar with a designated tour route.

If you’re looking to make new connections, network, gain new skills — and if you’re excited about giving visitors a taste of what they can expect from the SAIT community — join the program now.
