lisa weatherby profile

Lisa Weatherby brings more than 20 years of post-secondary education experience to her role as Dean, Academic Services. No stranger to SAIT, she’s spent time in leadership roles with the School of Transportation, the School of Construction and more recently, Dean of the MacPhail School of Energy.

In her current role, Lisa is responsible for effective program delivery, which includes Academic Upgrading, Open Studies and English Language Foundations, as well as core institutional programming in humanities and sciences.

As a SAIT alumna from the Avionics Technology program, she holds a private pilot license and has a Master’s of Education from the University of Calgary. She is currently completing a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from the University of Liverpool, with a research focus on inclusive classrooms in male-dominated apprenticeship programs.

Lisa is also a proud executive sponsor for Women in Trades and Technology at SAIT — a committee of students, instructors and industry partners focused on supporting women entering less-traditional career paths.
