After a difficult experience at university, Rigel Raju enrolled at SAIT and got involved in several students’ clubs to motivate himself, add to his resume and building inspirational relationships with other people. By the time he graduated with his Bachelor of Business Administration degree, he was recognized for his incredible commitment to current and future students with SAIT’s 2021 President’s Medal. Now, Rigel works as a Private Equity Analyst at Strategic Group.

REBOOTING HER FUTURE
Looking for a new challenge, Lauren knew she wanted to go into IT but wasn’t prepared to go to university for a computer science degree. She took a chance on SAIT and ended up become the valedictorian of her graduating class and now works as a consultant in cyber security risk advisory at KPMG Canada.
INNOVATING THE AVALANCHE INDUSTRY
Through his degree's capstone project, Nathan Kneisel acquired leading GIS app skills and enabled industry to streamline avalanche and geotechnical workflow with custom 3D GIS. He and his capstone partner were tasked with solving a real-world avalanche hazard problem for Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Fernie.
MOVING FORWARD THROUGH POSITIVE ACTION
Sarah Raddatz came to SAIT straight after high school despite not knowing what she wanted to study. With a long-standing interest in hands-on problem-solving, she chose Civil Engineering Technology. Now, she’s working as a structural design drafter at Fluor and is grateful for the support and opportunities she had at SAIT.
