Your classes have officially begun — it's time to get ready, get set and get involved. First8 is a series of events during the first eight weeks of each semester at SAIT designed to help you succeed. Discover the services available to you and connect with your new SAIT community.  

Welcome

Weeks 1 and 2: Jan. 3 - Jan. 11

There's a lot to do and discover at SAIT. Your first stop is orientation — meet your instructors and classmates, find your way around and get yourself organized. Plus, don't miss the Welcome to Family Winter Warmup, hosted by SAIT's Alumni and Development department, SAITSA's Expo and Winter Carnival events, and lots more.

Well-being

Weeks 3 and 4: Jan. 14 - Jan. 25

Starting to settle in? Now's the time to check in with yourself and make sure to take care of your physical and mental well-being. Try a free drop-in recreation class, check out the Student Health 101 Magazine, and more.

Community

Weeks 5 and 6: Jan. 28 - Feb. 8

Build your network  — connect with your instructors and peers by getting involved. Join a club, and check out available co-curricular activities on My Career Hub,  celebrate Pride Week, and lots more — check the event calendar to find the latest activities happening across campus.  

Success

Weeks 7 and 8: Feb. 11 - Feb. 22

Improve your studying and exam writing skills, and learn how to stress less. Short on time? Work with friends an tackle all those projects you've been putting off at the Long Day Against Procrastination. Plus, get ready for Career Fair on Feb. 26.
