Application status

After your application is evaluated, your decision will be updated to one of the statuses below. When you submit updated documentation or progress through the competitive entry selection process, your application decision will be updated. When reviewing your application status, please be aware of the following:

  • Decisions aren't final and your application will be re-evaluated as it progresses through the admission process.
  • We will only evaluate the application identified as your first preference — your preference is determined by the order in which you chose your preferred course of study.
  • All subsequent applications in the same term will only be evaluated if you’re waitlisted or declined for your first preference.
  • If you accept an offered seat all other applications will be cancelled.

Missing documents means we have not received the transcripts/documentation required for a decision to be assigned to your application. Review your application checklist to see the admission requirements needed for the program.

Waitlist means all available seats were offered or accepted for your chosen program in your chosen term before we could confirm you meet the admission requirements. Review waitlists for more details and the options available to you.

Declined – missing requirements means you did not met the minimum admission requirements for the program at the time your application was reviewed.

Note: we will reevaluate your application if you complete one of the following steps prior to the programs published application deadline.

  • If you applied for a health program that requires an entrance test, complete the required assessment before the program's application deadline.
  • Upload any new or missed transcripts/documents confirming you have met the admission requirements.
  • Submit sufficient evidence showing you're enrolled in high school or upgrading courses required for admission.
  • Complete the missing admission requirements through SAIT's academic upgrading or English language Foundations programs.

Offered seat – Full Admission means you have been offered admission with no conditions to a program. Congratulations.

  • Confirm your seat by paying the tuition deposit through one of our accepted online payment methods.
  • Your tuition deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable and the money will be applied to your account and will go towards your first-semester tuition payment.
  • If you pay your tuition deposit and are offered a seat in another SAIT program, you can transfer the deposit if the program starts in the same academic year. Note: This is only valid prior to your original program start date.

Offered seat with Conditions means you have been offered admission pending successful completion of one or more admission requirements:

  • Refer to the application details in mySAIT to learn which requirements have yet to be met.
  • You will need to submit your final transcripts before the transcript deadline. Proof of your SAIT education will appear on your student profile automatically.
  • You must submit final transcripts/grades to show you have completed the courses and met the minimum admission requirements by the transcript deadline or your seat will be rescinded.

Note: If your tuition deposit is not received by the appropriate deadline, your offer will expire and the seat could be offered to an applicant on the waitlist.

Confirmed – Full Admission means that we've received your tuition deposit and your seat in the program is now confirmed.

Confirmed with Conditions means that we've received your tuition deposit and your seat in the program is now confirmed pending completion of one or more admission requirements.

  • Conditions will be removed if your final transcripts are received before the transcript deadline – your application status will be updated to confirmed – full admission. Proof of your SAIT education will appear on your student profile automatically.
  • Refer to the application details in mySAIT to learn which conditions you must meet.
  • You must submit final transcripts/grades to show you have completed the courses and met the minimum admission requirements by the transcript deadline or your seat will be rescinded.
  • You are unable to cancel an application through mySAIT once it is confirmed. Submit a new inquiry for assistance if your plans have changed.

You can cancel your application through mySAIT for any reason as long as you have not accepted an offered seat. Contact the Office of the Registrar to cancel an application that is either Confirmed with conditions or Confirmed – Full Admission.

If you have applied for more than one program in a term, we will cancel the additional applications as soon as you have accepted an offered seat. When this happens, Not Evaluated will appear as the Reason for Cancellation.
