Response to government announcement on temporary COVID-19 measures  Friday, Sept. 3

SAIT has been considering any necessary response to today’s public health announcement from the Government of Alberta, and has determined that we will be operating as planned next week.

Our return to campus for the Fall 2021 term is anchored in our top priority — the health and safety of our SAIT community. An indoor masking mandate was reinstated Aug. 23, and we urge the continued practice of good sanitary and respiratory hygiene.

The best defense against COVID-19 and its variants, and the best way to help keep all our community safe, is to get vaccinated. We encourage all our students to roll up their sleeves to get immunized, and SAIT will be hosting a pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic for students on Thursday, Sept. 9 in the Orpheus Theatre, Campus Centre, from 9 am to 5 pm or while vaccine supplies last.

SAIT will continue to assess the on-going health situation in our province and follow the Government of Alberta and Alberta Health Services’ guidelines, adjusting as required.
