Winter 2022 full-time students: It's time to start on your next steps!

We know you'll have lots of questions before you start — here’s what you need to know to make your transition to SAIT an easy one.

What you should be doing now

✅ Check it off the list

  • Register for your Winter 2022 courses in mySAIT.
  • If you're going to apply for student loans, apply now to have your funding in place by the tuition payment deadline.

Vaccine requirement

As of Jan. 1, 2022, on-campus or blended learning students accessing any SAIT campus in person or attending a SAIT event off campus need to provide proof of World Health Organization (WHO)-approved full vaccination (two doses for a two-dose vaccine). To be considered fully vaccinated you must be at least 14 days from the date of second vaccination — to be fully vaccinated by Jan. 1, you must receive your second dose by Saturday, Dec. 18. Negative COVID-19 tests will not be accepted.

The SAITALERT app is the mandatory method of declaring vaccination status for students and employees. You'll be able to submit your proof of vaccination next week, watch your email for instructions.

💻 Vaccination verification

Consequences of non-compliance

Students who are not fully vaccinated will be prohibited from accessing the SAIT campus, and on-campus or blended learning students who are not fully vaccinated or fail to disclose their vaccination status through SAITALERT will be withdrawn (de-registered) from any in-person or blended courses in which they are enrolled.

No accommodation will be made for the academic consequences resulting from being unable to attend on campus. Students may be limited in their progression through a program if they are unable to attend on campus to complete required program elements, and no accommodations or refunds will be made in this regard.

Students who have been withdrawn (de-registered) will be eligible to register again for SAIT courses and programs after bringing themselves into compliance with the vaccination requirements but should expect to be delayed in their academic progress.
