Looking forward to Fall 2021 — a message from the Vice President, Academic
Dear students,
It is with great optimism that we are starting to prepare for our Fall 2021 term here at SAIT. It’s our hope, subject to ongoing positive shifts in community health indicators, that we’ll have more students on campus and see an increase in on-campus activities.
We have a working group looking at various scenarios to prioritize in-person course delivery and student services, while ensuring the safety of our campus community in alignment with government and public health guidelines.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be opening our library and outdoor recreation areas in alignment with new regulations and to pilot increasing access and services for the fall.
This past year our faculty and employees have adapted and adopted technology and new ways of teaching and supporting students, demonstrating SAIT’s agility. These innovative methods have enhanced our practices and are helping guide new ways of delivering programs.
The world of work you are entering has changed in ways we couldn’t have foreseen even a year ago, and it’s our commitment that your SAIT education will prepare you for what the future holds. We are focused on moving forward and finding new ways for you to learn and grow — ensuring all our students are career-ready.
I applaud all of you for your resiliency and adaptability, and your instinct to embrace both change and the opportunities ahead.
Progress on our decisions around Fall 2021 will be shared in regular communications. You can expect more detail in the coming weeks and months. You can also find ongoing updates on this page.
Whether you are continuing your studies or starting them, coming from Calgary or joining us from anywhere in the world — we look forward to seeing you in September.
