SAIT Update 11.02.2020
COVID-19 confirmed cases on campus
The health and safety of our SAIT community remains our top priority. To keep everyone informed, we're posting the number and details of confirmed COVID-19 cases among members of the SAIT on-campus community.
SAIT maintains the confidentiality of SAIT community members and works with Alberta Health Services if notified of any positive cases connected to our campus.
When a positive case is confirmed by Alberta Health Services:
- those in close contact are contacted directly
- details are posted to the sait.ca COVID-19 confirmed cases page
- Critical Update notifications are posted to sait.ca/covid19
- in cases of great magnitude where there were no other direct means to communicate with those possibly impacted, a SAITALERT would be issued.
Connect with the SAIT Pride community!
The new Student Pride at SAIT group on MS Teams is a safe, welcoming online community dedicated to connecting and engaging LGBTQ2+ students. Students can email firstname.lastname@example.org to join the group.
Saitsa hosts a weekly Pride Zoom Room every Thursday from noon to 1 pm, where SAIT students can connect and discuss LGBTQ2+ related topics. Check the schedule for Zoom links to join.
New ways to access library materials
📚 The Reg Erhardt Library is now offering curbside pickup. Use the Library Search to request a book, then follow the pickup instructions in the notification email. The service is available Monday – Thursday, 10 am to 3 pm.
The library is also offering a small-scale, on-demand digitization service to support remote learning. Before you make a request, check out existing collections of electronic books and journals, and explore Open Educational Resources. Connect with a librarian for help.
