Get help, get hired: Job interviews 101
Great news! They got your resumé, you got the call. Now what?
A job interview can be the most exciting and nerve wracking part of advancing your career. Be prepared with some great advice for before, during and after your interview.
💻 Bonus: Tips for video interviews
If you're job hunting right now, chances are a video interview may be in your future. Try these tips and put your best virtual self forward.
- Treat it like an in person interview, dress accordingly.
- Test your technology the day before, do a practice run on the chat software you'll be using with a friend — and book a practice interview with a Career Advisor!
- Use a small, professional looking space or background.
- Don’t stare at yourself. Look at the interviewer. Place a sticky note over your video.
- Avoid distractions — lock out the pets, kids and partners.
