SAIT welcomes Andrew Chau, co-founder of SkipTheDishes
SkipTheDishes co-founder Andrew Chau will share the ups and downs of his entrepreneurial journey with students, staff and alumni on Wednesday, Feb. 6.
SkipTheDishes, Canada's leading food delivery company, uses technology to make great food more accessible. Founded in 2012, SkipTheDishes is now in more than 30 markets across Canada and the U.S. and was acquired by Just-Eat for $200M in 2016. Andrew remained with the company as head of Business Development until Oct. 2018 and has since launched Harvest Ventures — an organization dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs by helping turn scalable ideas into sustainable growth opportunities, primarily in Western Canada.
This special event is part of a professional speaker series hosted by SAIT's School of Business. The series recently featured Graeme Edge, co-founder and chief instigator of Energy Disruptors. "It was a great event and fantastic opportunity to hear him speak in such a genuine tone - no script and straight to the honest facts about the difficulties entrepreneurs face," says Sam Timms, a student enrolled in SAIT's Business Administration program.
