SAIT Update 01.25.2021
Life in — and after — quarantine
For Richie, a SAIT international student from Trinidad and Tobago, one of the perks of quarantining in Begin Tower once arriving in Canada was the view of the sunrise.
Payment of awards and refunds now through e-Transfer
Effective Friday, Jan. 22, award, bursary and emergency funding payments will be made by email money transfer (e-Transfer). Most refunds for credit programs will also be made by e-Transfer directly to the student.
e-Transfers are a fast and convenient way to receive a payment within the security of an online or mobile banking service.
Once a refund, award, bursary or emergency funding has been processed, students will receive a series of email notifications to their SAIT email address to access their payment.
COVID mask compliance
Face masks are required indoors on all SAIT campuses. SAIT does not allow the use of gaiters, bandanas, snoods or neck warmers as a substitute to a properly fitted face mask. Those who do not comply will be refused access to buildings on SAIT campus.

Nominate outstanding students for the 2021 President's Awards
International student, Yatendra Solanki was one of two students awarded the SAIT President’s Medal in 2020. Solanki grew up in India and came to SAIT to study power engineering in 2018.
Since arriving at SAIT, Solanki had immersed himself in student life and extracurricular activities to be an advocate for student issues. "I can’t express it in words,” says Solanki, “this honour shows a big appreciation of my hard work — it’s a source of inspiration for making a big contribution to the community in the future.”
Each year, SAIT President and CEO, Dr. David Ross proudly recognizes students through two awards — the President’s Student Leadership Award and the President’s Medal.
