SAIT adds to leadership team
Roy Daykin, SAIT's new CFO and Vice President Corporate Services.
Today, SAIT announced Roy Daykin will be joining the executive team as the new Chief Financial Officer and Vice President Corporate Services.
With more than 30 professional years in the education system, Daykin brings a wealth of knowledge and post-secondary experience to the role. Prior to joining SAIT, Daykin spent the last three years as Vice President, Employee and Corporate Services at Okanagan College in British Columbia.
He has extensive institutional leadership experience in finance, human resources, facilities, technology, risk management and business services.
"As a key member of SAIT's leadership team, Roy will oversee SAIT's financial resources and capital and technological assets to ensure efficient and effective operations continue to be in alignment with SAIT's students-first mandate," says SAIT President and CEO Dr. David Ross, "Roy's leadership style and his ability to promote and foster collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement makes him a natural fit here at SAIT."
Looking for the right person
Daykin was selected by SAIT after an extensive search process that saw candidates from across Canada and abroad vying for the position.
His portfolio at SAIT includes Finance, Information Systems, Commercial Services and Facilities Management.
A passion for learning
Daykin, a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA), also holds a Master of Arts in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University. He is committed to lifelong learning. His scholarly activity includes teaching experience in accounting and numerous works on topics such as improving processes and understanding cost drivers in the post-secondary sector.

Daykin will start in his new role at SAIT in January 2018.
