Throughout the year, awards are added and changes are made to existing awards. Click here for the most recent updates to the 2015/2016 Student Awards Guide.
Entrance awards are designated for students who are beginning a new program in the 2016/2017 academic year. In some instances they are program specific and in others, students in all programs may apply.
The 2017-2018 Entrance Award Guide will be available in October 2016.
All students enrolled in a SAIT program can now apply online:
- Log into mysait.ca
- Click on the myStudent tab
- Under Finance Information, click on Online Student Awards Application Form.
Please note: You must be registered and accepted into a SAIT program with a Student ID and password to log into mysait.ca.
The Student Awards Guide is also available in print and can be picked up at the Alumni and Development Office located on the main floor of Heritage Hall (Room AA113).
Apply online ahead of time!
Please pay specific attention to deadlines for each unique award. Note that deadlines are firm and cannot be extended.
Student Awards Application Assistance Labs
If you are interested in applying for a student award but aren't sure how the process works and would like help with the application process, join us for one of our Student Award Application Assistance Labs.
All assistance labs will be held between 11 am and 1 pm in the CALS computer lab (MC209).

Q: Who may apply?
A: If you are enrolled at SAIT as a continuous, full-time student or apprentice you may be eligible to apply. There are exceptions for part-time and distance learning students that are outlined in the guide, so please review the criteria carefully.
Q: I'm an international student - am I eligible?
A: Yes, students who are citizens of countries other than Canada and who have been accepted at SAIT on a student visa are eligible for SAIT student awards. In order to collect the award, however, an international student must have either a Social Insurance Number (SIN) or an Individual Tax Number (ITN). International students should contact the SAIT International Centre for details and assistance. The Centre may also suggest other awards that are directed specifically to international students.
Q: If I win an award - how will I know?
A: SAIT Alumni and Development will notify students selected for awards within four months of the application deadline. Recipients will receive an email, telephone call or a letter with information about when and how to pick up the awards package.
Investments made by individual SAIT alumni and friends, associations, businesses, foundations and other organizations have helped countless students to attend SAIT and achieve their goals. Our student awards are funded on an annal basis as well as through professionally managed endowments.
If you wish to donate to an existing award, conveniently donate online now. Select "Other" from the menu and enter the award name in the text box next to "Tell us how to direct your gift."
