Plan ahead

✅ Accept your offer

You will be an accepted student after you accept your offer of admission through your admissions portal and pay the non-refundable tuition deposit

💵 Apply for student loans

If you're a domestic student, it's important to apply early for student loans so you have your funding in place before the tuition payment deadline.

Apply for Alberta Student Loans at studentaid.alberta.ca or through the student aid office in your province.

💻 Get your tech and supplies

Ensure you have the right computer hardware and software needed for your program, as well as any additional supplies, tools or uniforms. You'll find this information on the program page.

  • Tuition payment deadline: If your classes begin May. 6, 2024, your tuition is due by Wednesday, Apr. 10, 2024. If you begin another day, refer to this table to find your tuition payment due date.
  • Application deferrals and tuition transfer period: If you wish to defer your admission or transfer your tuition deposit to a different semester, you'll need to make the request by Wednesday, Apr. 10, 2024 (international students) or Monday, Apr. 15, 2024 (domestic students.)

There are many ways to pay your tuition and fees, including online banking, credit card and student loans.

📚 Get your textbooks

Find your list of textbooks through mySAIT or the SAIT Bookstore after you register for your courses. Order them four weeks before classes start to be ready for your first day.

👍 Confirmation of enrolment letter

Some financial institutions may require a letter confirming your enrolment to release RESP funds. After registering for your classes, you can request enrollment confirmation through your mySAIT account. Your letter will be uploaded to MyCreds within five business days after submitting your request — look for an email from MyCreds when your letter is available.

If your financial institution requires us to sign a form, upload the appropriate forms and submit a ticket through our online support desk.

🇨🇦 Get your study permit

International students who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada require a study permit issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to study in a program that is longer than six months.

Once you have received your confirmation or acceptance letter from SAIT and accompanying documentation for IRCC, you can start applying for your study permit.

💰 Apply for entrance awards
