Ian Cowley is the Coordinator of Scholarly Activity Implementation in SAIT's Program Quality and Development department.
After graduating from SAIT's Professional Cooking program, Cowley enjoyed a 25-year career in the hospitality industry before returning to SAIT as an instructor in the School of Hospitality and Tourism in 2008.
He has a Provincial Instructors Diploma from Vancouver Community College, Master of Education from Athabasca University and is currently completing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with the University of Western Ontario.
Away from SAIT, Cowley is a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters Calgary. He also volunteers domestically and overseas with Canadian Executive Services Organization (CESO-SACO), advising and helping to improve hospitality and education-related businesses in developing nations.
