Heather Culbert is an active board member and philanthropist currently serving as Chair of SAIT's Board of Governors. She is also Acting Chair of Export Development Canada (EDC), Director on the Board of Whitecap Resources Inc., liaison to United Way Worldwide for United Way of Calgary and Director of the United Way World Leadership Council.
She served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Services with Enerplus Resources Fund before retiring in 2006.
Culbert is a graduate of Queens University's Executive Program, as well as SAIT in Computer Technology and Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) in Not-For-Profit Governance.
She has also been recognized for her leadership and community service, receiving numerous honours including the BMO Celebrating Women 2016 Community and Charitable Giving award, a SAIT honorary degree in 2014, the Doc Seaman Generosity of Spirit Award as an individual philanthropist in 2013 and the Alberta Centennial Medal for Community Service in 2005. In 2003, Culbert was also recognized as a SAIT Distinguished Alumna.
