OneDrive

Students’ H: drives have been migrated to OneDrive

As part of SAIT’s focus on protecting our data and moving to cloud-based storage, we migrated students’ H: drives to OneDrive over the summer.

Accessing and using OneDrive

Using your SAIT email and password, you can access OneDrive a few different ways:

  1. Through Microsoft Office Online
  2. Through the OneDrive desktop app/File Explorer on your computer, which you can download from the Microsoft Store if you don’t already have it on your device (it is generally automatically installed with Windows 11).
  3. Through the OneDrive mobile app, which you can download from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Any data that was on your H: drive will appear as a folder in your OneDrive.

Review this video for guidance logging into and navigating OneDrive Online

Students should review their OneDrive to ensure all data was transferred over.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Service Desk.

Online proctoring software and exams

A proctor monitors students during exams to maintain the quality and integrity of the program, ensure fairness for all students, and deliver on our commitment to industry, regulatory bodies and the community. Online proctoring software is used for exams and assessments completed remotely.

Assessments are necessary for evaluating course outcomes, and sometimes exams are required. SAIT is committed to selecting assessments that are appropriate for the learning material. Instructors may make modifications to assessments when possible to support students during the exam or reduce online exams, including:

  • hosting a Zoom session in case students have questions or run problems
  • office hours for students to review their assessments
  • open-book exam portions
  • integrate graded labs into lessons as learning activities
  • convert exams into scenario-based assignments
  • replace a portion of the exam with a video assignment
  • change the rubric and course grade weighting to put less emphasis on exams

Review this checklist for online exams before you start to make sure you’re ready.

If you have concerns, reach out to your instructor or academic chair for support.
