Life at SAIT 

Dasha joined the School of Business in 2024 and teaches Business and Financial Planning courses, including Personal Finance. She cares deeply about helping people reach and surpass their goals in saving, investing, financial planning, and self-improvement. Dasha believes that financial planning and wellbeing is for everybody as it is a practical and easily applicable skillset with wide ranging benefits.  

Dasha is a 2-time winter Olympian in cross-country skiing and a proud first generation Canadian. She brings Olympic values of excellence, discipline, and hard work to the world of Finance and Wealth Management. She is also the proud owner and lead coach of the Space Dogs Ski Club, a Not-for-Profit, high-performance adult cross-country ski club in Calgary. Dasha speaks fluent Russian, French and English.   

Education 

Dasha has a bachelor’s in Hydrology and Physics from the University of Waterloo and an MBA in Finance from Hautes Études Commerciales, Montréal. She is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a Licensed Broker with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) and has completed courses for the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP). 

Professional Accomplishments

Dasha has a prolific industry record, having served in investment advisory and specialist roles for renowned corporations such as Richardson Wealth, Scotia Global Wealth Management, and Kevin Filan Group. Her expertise is in portfolio management, financial planning, funds trading, and group branding. Dasha has also spent a considerable part of her career teaching and coaching,

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
