When it comes to making a difference in the success of SAIT students, every little bit has the potential to make a difference.

Giving Day is an opportunity for the SAIT community — students, alumni, donors and employees — to come together to create a future that is better, inclusive, innovative and full of community spirit for the next generation of students. The sixth annual Giving Day kicks off on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022, at 10 am and will include many different opportunities to show your support.

Below are the top three ways you can get involved with SAIT Giving Day and help shape the next 100 years.

1. Spread the word

Be part of the spirit of philanthropy by telling others about Giving Day. Boost the message with the help of our social media toolkit. Or, share your story: tell us why giving is important to you or how someone else’s kindness and generosity has impacted your life.

#SAITGIVES = dollars on Oct. 19-20

This fall, Saitsa has experience a record number of orders for the Good Food Box in just the first few weeks of classes, indicating a high need for cost-saving options and nutritious foods for SAIT students.

Each time #SAITGIVES is posted on social media during the fundraising marathon, SAIT Alumni and Development employee Donna Lambert will donate an additional $1 toward helping to support Saitsa's Emergency Food Fund and Wellness Bank.

(Instagram accounts must be public OR @SAITalumni must be tagged in the post to be tracked).

2. Make a gift

Whatever amount you can donate, $5 or $50 or $500, your gift will help improve the student experience through accessible supports and funds.

There are three ways you can give to the area of support you care about most:

Pro tip: When you make a miniumn $5 gift through SAIT, you will receive a charitable tax receipt for the value of your donation.

3. Engage in a challenge

Over 24 hours, our SAIT community will have the opportunity to help multiply student funds and enter for a chance to win a prize through different Giving Day challenges.

Pro Tip: Anyone can make an impact on the lives of SAIT students. Build your own community of philanthropy among your friends, family or coworkers by inspiring them with your own participation in a challenge or inviting them to join in.

Shout out!

A big "thank you" to our Giving Day partners or their generous challenge prizes and fund-matching opportunities!
