You don't have to quit alone
Whether you smoke a pack-a-day or a puff or two at parties, quitting is hard.
You don't need to slay the habit single handed — increase your odds of success by reaching out to any of the resources listed below.
- Students from programs in the School of Health and Public Safety provide smoking cessation counselling. Sessions include assessing readiness to quit, exploring tools and supports for quitting and coaching for successful quitting strategies. To book your free appointment call or text 403.629.1921.
- The SAIT Health Services Clinic can also assist. Call 403.284.8666 to make an appointment with the doctor, or drop by and visit us in NR041, Senator Burns Building. Nurses are available on a walk-in basis. (an Alberta Health Care or out of Province Health Care number is required.)
- Check out various resources at Alberta Quits. Personal cessation counsellors provide group support as well as individually through phone and text. A variety of online tools are also available.
